Because it’s been a while since I've introduced myself, and I have some new followers here, I thought an intro would be helpful!



Hi! I’m Brooke. I’m a big believer in empathy. In my own life, I have been through so much, and that has compelled me to want to help others who may have similar experiences.



As you may have figured out from my handle, I’m a widow. My sweet Brandon left this earthly life in October of 2018 after his well-fought, valiant battle with cancer. He was and still is the love of my life. He helped bless our lives with 3 amazing children. They remind me of him every single day. Some may say since I’m remarried I am no longer a widow but I have to disagree, I am and will always be Brandon’s widow.



Since Brandon's passing, life has certainly not slowed down. Grief is personal, sacred and certainly NOT linear. I’ve had some lowest of lows and highest of highs. One of those high experiences was meeting and marrying Derick. If you met him, you’d know that he is one of the good ones and another love of my life. We love each other fiercely and he respects my love for my late Brandon.



Together, Derick and I have 6 kids between us. Life is busy and fun and challenging. And I can’t imagine it any other way.



Blending families is certainly not for the faint of heart. But, we are learning every day and doing our best to fight for our family. I want to help others do the same and truly thrive in their own lives!
